Day-3 of our unexpected trip turned into the most unbelievable experience. We stayed overnight in Medaram tent city and woke up to witness the incredible atmosphere of Sammakka Saralamma Jathara, one of the largest tribal festivals in Asia. After getting lucky accommodation at Haritha Resort Medaram, we visited the Medaram Tribal Museum to understand the rich culture and history of the Koya tribes. The highlight of the day was the helicopter ride over Medaram Jathara. From the sky we could see lakhs of tents and crores of devotees, which was truly a goosebumps moment. Later we travelled through forest roads and visited the mysterious Sri Hemachala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, known for its unique idol that is believed to have a soft human-like texture and miraculous water spring nearby. Finally we returned to Medaram to witness the night beauty of the Jathara, wrapping up an unforgettable journey filled with adventure, culture and spirituality.
