Timber Framed Barn Part 39 Horizontal Bifold Door
The swallows are still nesting in the barn, so I decided to get started on the main door while the weather was good. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a little too good, and shortly after I began, we were hit by a heatwave that is still ongoing. I decided to build a horizontal bi-fold door for the main entrance because of the strong winds we get during the winter. Most other types of doors would either rattle in the wind or be difficult, if not impossible, to open safely. The project got off to a great start, but along the way I made some significant mistakes. Thankfully, I managed to work around them, although it made this one of the most challenging projects of the entire build. I just kept working through each problem, tackling one job at a time. There are still a few finishing jobs to do, including fitting the door seals, adding a safety latch, moving the winch buttons to the side, and replacing the winch rope with something more suitable, such as Dyneema. I hope you enjoy the video! TikTok Page / krisharbourofficial Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/share/1BuVBn...
