He studied accordion and piano at the Alessandria Conservatory and distinguished himself in important accordion competitions and on television shows. Since the 1990s, he has been a member of leading dance music orchestras, performing in Italy and abroad. In 2002, the "Fisarmonica By Marco - Modello Bagnasco" was born, an instrument customized for Paolo, which would later be adopted by many of his fellow dance music accordionists. He has received prestigious lifetime achievement awards and boasts a discography of eleven solo albums and numerous international collaborations. Mary Merolla also knew from an early age that her future lay in music, and in a charming interview with RADIO LISCIO, she recalls: "Already at three years old, I was sitting on a chair and singing Cristina D'Avena's songs." She enrolled in singing school and, at a very young age, began performing in local orchestras. The story of their love story is funny and touching: "I've been in love with Paolo since I was 16," Mary recalls. "I went to his performances, but I didn't have the courage to approach him." A few years later, the two met by chance on a television program, and sparks flew! Mary was thrilled, but shortly afterward, Paolo reached out to her on social media, they wrote to each other, and it was the beginning of a beautiful love story. And when their two talents met, their romantic and professional union gave birth to the six-piece "Orchestra Spettacolo Paolo Bagnasco." It's an honor for us to collaborate with wonderful people and talented musicians like Paolo and Mary.
