The father of Maxim Martsinkevich (Tesak) lamented the authorities' failure to investigate his son's death. Unauthorized protests took place near Tesak's grave at Kuntsevo Cemetery in Moscow. Supporters of the deceased laid flowers and memorials at the burial site. Maxim Martsinkevich was found dead in a solitary confinement cell at Chelyabinsk Pretrial Detention Center No. 3 on September 16, 2020. He was six months away from release when another criminal case suddenly emerged against him: a video surfaced online showing, according to investigators, Maxim Martsinkevich and his supporters killing two Caucasian men in 2007. The deceased's father, Sergei, told our correspondent that he and his lawyers had abandoned their efforts to investigate Maxim's death after encountering numerous obstacles and formal replies. He believes it was murder because the prison where his son was held was overcrowded, but Maxim was somehow placed alone in a three-person cell where he allegedly first slit his wrists and then hanged himself. Surveillance cameras were suddenly disabled, and Tesak's body bore numerous signs of torture (including his fingernails being torn out). Some of those attending the memorial protest claimed that the "pedophile lobby in power" was involved in the murder. Maxim Martsinkevich (Tesak) is a far-right activist and the co-founder and ideologist of the informal international social movement "Restrukt." He was found guilty three times of inciting hatred, and in 2017, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for attacks on spice dealers.
