He has a forward, brighter and aggressive 'clean voice' coupled with almost 'growl-like' screams. Yet he pulls it all together impeccably well both in the studio and with his band members/background vocalists live on stage. He's a perfect example of a vocalist, who's also a fantastic producer and vocal arranger.
