‘Tis The Old Ship Of Zion 🙌🏾

The Old Ship Of Zion was an expression of HOPE from the horrors of slavery. These lyrics carried more than one meaning… they were also used to fool enslavers. This particular ship would take slaves, not back to Africa, but to heaven to live with the Lord. Very similar to Noah’s Ark. The Bible referenced THE CHURCH as the “Old Ship of Zion”. Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy.
