Elvis: Taming the Loose Tiger - August 12 1972 MS

Another great mix by Adam Moore! This time it's the August 12 1972 Midnight Show! This show has always been one of my favorite shows from the 1972 shows on soundboard, however it sadly is not a complete soundboard recording. Luckily we do have an audience recording of the show which still allows us to listen to the show in full! During the show Elvis does a rarer solo rendition of the song “Tiger Man”, that is also where the soundboard tape cuts off. Along with the rare solo performance of “Tiger Man”, he also sang 2 great songs he introduced this year to his setlists. “An American Trilogy” had been in the setlists since the first show of the year, yet Elvis still hadn't grown bored of it. The other song is “My Way”, which he finally introduced to his setlists this season. “My Way” was a song Elvis had already attempted to record in June of 1971, but he wasn't satisfied with his rendition of the song. I'm very glad that he did revise the song and add it to his August 1972 setlists!
