The goals were clear: Fast logistics to Europe and the Middle East, Securing the Senegalese government's fishing quotas, and low local labor costs. The strategic and geographical location were perfect. But the reality was dismal. Local distrust of Senegalese products, and organizational divisions due to employee work attitudes and cultural differences... Ultimately, the company continued to post losses for seven years after the acquisition, until 2017. "This place was truly unworkable..." In 2016, the situation was so dire that they actually considered withdrawing. However, Dongwon Group made a decisive move. They adopted the slogan "We are One!" and completely changed their management style.
