A Conversation with Artem Chapeye
World Oregon and the Portland Lviv Sister City Association sponsored a conversation with Ukrainian author Artem Chapter, author of Ordinary People Don't Carry Machine Guns, on June 20, 2026. During our conversation with Artem, we asked if there was a Ukraine-support effort he would like us to share with our community. Artem asked us to help raise awareness for Mykhailo Mikhnovsky (Михайло Міхновський), a Ukrainian defender who was wounded in service, lost a leg, received a prosthetic, and has since returned to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he now serves with a drone unit. Mykhailo is currently raising funds to support his unit’s drone operations. Donate to support Mykhailo Mikhnovsky’s drone fundraising effort here: https://send.monobank.ua/jar/9avjC7rx...
