Acid Archives Diaries #22 - Blue Mountain Eagle vinyl lp 1970 Atco records Dewey Martin from the Buffalo Springfield started the band using the very original the NEW Buffalo Springfield before Young and stills stopped him from using the name. He changed the band name to the Blue Mountain Eagle and cut their only lp (self titled 1970 album). Singer songwriter Poncher stated there would have been a second album if the label backed the band however that clearly didn’t take place. The band splintered into a few new bands like 1974s Stepson for example.
