Yanchep Line Perth to Whitfords 2026 Easter Sunday Day Closure

On Easter Sunday 2026, the Yanchep Line was closed between Perth and Whitfords with train replacement bus routes 904 and 944 operating. This was the first major scheduled Yanchep Line day closure since August 2023, which you can watch in this video (I also recorded the train replacement routes in that one):    • Joondalup Line Perth to Joondalup Day Clos...  . Despite this, there are now two further day closures scheduled in the next month and a bit... In this video we just take another quick look at the operations of this closure including the trains only running between Whitfords and Yanchep and doing a three-point turnaround through the Whitfords siding, the Mandurah Line trains terminating at Perth Underground, the replacement buses now using the new Stephenson Avenue bridge at Stirling with the new bus interchange opening soon, and the 4-car trains on the Ellenbrook and Thornlie-Cockburn Lines as a result of the Nowergup trains not being able to head south. At the end of the video we take a quick look at the three trams operating over the Easter Long Weekend at the Perth Electric Tramway Society where I volunteer.
