The Real 100 Acre Wood - Home of Winnie-the-Pooh. Ashdown Forest.
Today I visit Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. This is the real 100 Acre Wood, better known to millions of readers the world over as ‘The 100 Acre Wood’, home to Winnie-the-Pooh. Author A.A.Milne lived with his family on the edge of the forest, near the village of Hartfield, and it here that I begin my adventure with a visit to ‘Pooh Corner’ with it’s museum, tearoom and giftshop. Next I enter the forest itself, in search of Poohsticks Bridge, The Enchanted Place, and all the other famous locations from the books.
