END OF ALLAN! Albanese Completely SNUBS Jacinta Allan as Labor MPs Plot Her Removal

Anthony Albanese visited Bendigo — Jacinta Allan's own hometown — and the Premier of Victoria was nowhere to be seen. For decades, the unwritten rule of Australian Labor politics has been simple. When the Prime Minister visits your state, you show up. You stand beside him. You get the photo. Credlin put it bluntly — Labor leaders used to crawl over cut glass to be seen alongside a sitting Prime Minister. It is one of the most basic forms of political optics, and it costs nothing except turning up. So when Albanese visited Bendigo — the Premier's own hometown, the seat she represents — and Jacinta Allan was simply absent, that is not an accident. That is a decision. And the question Credlin posed is the one everyone in Victorian politics is now asking. Who created that distance? Did Albanese deliberately avoid being photographed with a Premier whose approval rating has collapsed? Or did Allan herself decide that standing next to Albanese was more damaging than not showing up at all? Because here is the thing. Neither of them can really afford to be seen with the other right now. Albanese's net approval sits at negative twenty-four, with sixty percent of Australians dissatisfied with his performance. But Allan's numbers are worse. Significantly worse. Negative thirty-seven — the lowest approval rating of any state premier in the country. When two leaders are each individually toxic, standing next to each other does not provide cover. It just doubles the exposure. Credlin's assessment of Allan's position was about as direct as political commentary gets. The end is nigh. And her evidence for that was not just the polling — it was Allan's own press conference. Combative. Defensive. And built around a phrase that has been repeated so often it has become almost a punchline. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. I am all in. Credlin revealed something that should genuinely concern anyone watching Victorian politics — Allan's own speech notes contained marked-up leadership justification lines. Written reminders to tell voters why she deserves to lead. Not policy points. Not achievements. Justifications for her own position. As Credlin put it, that is the behaviour of a leader who has to tell people she is worthy, rather than someone who can simply demonstrate it through results. And there is a deeper problem underneath all of this. Jacinta Allan has never actually won an election as Labor leader. She was installed after Daniel Andrews resigned — handed the position rather than earning it through a campaign and a public mandate. Heading into the November state election, that absence of a personal mandate is now compounding every other problem she faces. Colleagues who never really chose her as leader are watching her polling collapse and asking themselves an obvious question. Why would we go to an election with someone the public has already tuned out? #albanese #jacintaallan #Labor
