This interview was made in Salvador Bahia on April 13, 2019 at the occasion of the screening of the film at the Universidade Federal da Bahia, UFBA, Brazil on April 12, 2019. Jess Oliveira is a translator and a Ph.D student in Salvador. She produced the Brazilian Portuguese subtitles for the film and also for the film on May Ayim „Hope in My Heart“, and she published a bilingual selection of poems by May Ayim. Marny Garcia Mommertz is Afro-German. She has lived and studied in several countries and presently lives in Salvador working at the Goethe Institut.
