Für Alara (16): Über 300 Biker sorgen für einen Gänsehaut-Moment

Update: It is with deep regret that we announce Alara's passing at 10:32 a.m. today. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and loved ones. We wish them strength and comfort during this difficult time and offer our sincere sympathy. What unfolded at Schwabing Hospital on Friday morning was truly moving. Around 300 motorcycles rolled in a convoy to the hospital. Engines roared, and among them was even a pink plush bunny on two wheels. The reason for this extraordinary gathering is deeply touching. Two years ago, 16-year-old Alara was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor (glioblastoma) and is now receiving palliative care. It all began during a vacation: The then 14-year-old suddenly collapsed, and her condition deteriorated dramatically. The vacation was immediately cut short. Alara flew back to Germany with her aunt. Shortly afterward came the devastating diagnosis. Her last great wish: to see lots of motorcycles one more time. A wish that the biker community didn't let remain just a wish for long. When Massimiliano Caria, chairman of the Isar 13 – Bikers Help Association, learned of Alara's plight, he acted immediately. "When I heard about her heartfelt wish, it was immediately clear: we'll make it happen." A post on social media was all it took. The response was overwhelming. Harley-Davidsons, Ducatis, Aprilias, BMWs, and many other motorcycles made their way to the meeting point at Mildred-Scheel-Bogen. In the end, over 300 bikers rode together toward the hospital – a convoy several hundred meters long. Alara only knew that a surprise awaited her. As the first motorcycles arrived, hospital staff wheeled the teenager, bed and all, to a side entrance. Together with her parents and family, she experienced the motorcycle parade from the front row. She smiled slightly. Even many of the bikers, usually considered tough guys, struggled with their emotions. The loud roar of the engines became a silent expression of compassion, respect, and solidarity that day. "I found it simply incredible how over 300 bikers rode together to the hospital to fulfill a young girl's last wish. You can really rely on the biker community," said Massimiliano Caria. For the Isar 13 – Bikers Help Association, this event is not an isolated incident. The volunteers regularly organize aid projects for people in need. But on Friday, it wasn't about horsepower or speed. It was about the greatest gift one can give someone: making their last wish come true. The video was approved by the family and those involved.
