Today's hero is the Isuzu D-Max, a pickup truck that until recently was the most affordable of the proven and reliable models. Unfortunately, the price has increased significantly with the generational change. As usual, I won't say much about the exterior. It certainly has some Asian influences, but they haven't gone overboard, as is often the case with other companies in this region. I like the stylish design. Note the lack of white chrome. There's not even any dark chrome here. The vehicle description says dark gray plastic. It looks organic. As usual, the test vehicle is the most expensive trim level. Note the black wheels. They're beautiful. But under the heavy-duty conditions for which this vehicle is designed, they can quickly lose their marketable appearance. From a technical perspective, it's worth noting that the gap between the cab and the bed has been reduced compared to the previous generation. This was achieved thanks to a new, more rigid design. And now, a quick word about a solution uncommon in pickup trucks, used in the D-MAX. Windshield washer fluid is supplied directly from the wiper blades. This results in very economical fluid consumption. Like most advanced wiper blades, there's a service position. Perhaps the engineers were driven by cost savings when they decided this vehicle didn't need headlight washers. The headlights, taillights, and fog lights are all LED. They provide excellent illumination. Furthermore, the headlights are mounted high, so they get dirtier than those of passenger cars. This vehicle, designed for heavy-duty work, lacks a rear eye. This has become a tradition for the D-MAX. A towbar is also not included, but one can be installed. Naturally, for an additional fee.
