In July 1982 the Altar Boys played made their performance debut at First Baptist Church of Fullerton to a crowd of about 200 people. 40 years later Mike Stand, Jeff Crandall and Steve Pannier pay a visit to to the church (now called Wilshire Avenue Baptist) and reminisce about that first gig and even sing a few of the early songs. From the beginning the Altar Boys had one goal in mind : to share the Good News of Christ through music that they loved. Through the years the band never lost sight of that goal and "by the grace of God" went on to achieve some incredible things that they never thought possible: including countless tours throughout the United States, South America and England and a string records including their 2018 miracle record No Substitute. Long live the Altar Boys, their Gut Level music and message of faith, mercy, hope and forgiveness only found through the Lord Jesus Christ.
