As a persons that drives from the Illawarra up to the Southern Highlands on a regular basis its my opinion that Macquarie Pass is a much safer and better route for those of us driving a motorhome or towing a caravan. As shown in the video, both roads can be tricky but Mac Pass, even with more curves and bends is much wider and really only has one tricky cover at the hairpin bend toward the top.
