🏛️ Lepakshi Temple | 500+ Years Old | Hanging Pillar Mystery | Telugu Travel Vlog
Hello everyone, welcome back to the channel! Today, we are visiting one of the most beautiful and mysterious temples in India – Lepakshi Temple, located in Andhra Pradesh. This temple is more than 500 years old and is famous for its amazing architecture, ancient paintings, and the mysterious hanging pillar. The temple was built during the Vijayanagara Empire in the 16th century. Even after so many years, it still attracts thousands of visitors from across India and around the world. The name Lepakshi comes from the Ramayana. According to legend, when Ravana kidnapped Sita, the brave bird Jatayu tried to stop him. After the battle, Lord Rama found the injured Jatayu and said, "Le Pakshi," which means "Rise, bird." It is believed that this is how the place got its name. Now, let's talk about the most famous attraction of this temple—the Hanging Pillar. Out of more than 70 stone pillars, one pillar does not completely touch the ground. You can even pass a thin cloth or a piece of paper underneath it. This amazing engineering has surprised visitors and experts for centuries, and it remains one of the biggest mysteries of the temple. Just a short distance from the temple, you will find the giant Nandi statue, carved from a single granite rock. It is one of the largest monolithic Nandi statues in India. The size, details, and craftsmanship are truly incredible. Inside the temple, you can also see beautiful ceiling paintings that are over 500 years old. These paintings show scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and stories of Lord Shiva. Even today, many of the colors and designs remain beautiful, showing the amazing skills of the artists. The temple is also known for its detailed stone carvings, massive pillars, and stunning Vijayanagara-style architecture. Every corner of this place tells a story of history, art, and devotion. Whether you love history, architecture, photography, or spiritual places, Lepakshi Temple is a destination you should definitely visit at least once.
