Backpacking Off Trail Uwharrie National Forest and Bigfoot

Back in Uwharrie National forest the Birkhead Mountain Wilderness Area. This trip I go off trail to a location that I found geographically interesting. My goal is to explore this unique wilderness area in North Carolina, off the beaten path, and try and find ancient relics of the past. I will also be researching and exploring the many myths, folklore and legends of the Uwharrie mountainous region and farther west into the Appalachian zone. I have a few more trips planned this winter and early spring to explore the Birkhead Wilderness, these will be off trail and in remote areas.
