Chemistry Experiment to try at home - Copper patina
Attach a 9V batter to aluminum foil (negative terminal) and a penny (+ terminal) sitting on baking soda solution soaked into a paper towel. The penny will form the copper patina that we recognize from the statue of liberty. This experiment is safe to try at home as long as you have a pair of safety goggles.
