It describes how and where to administer medications intraperitoneally, the injection site, this being a rapid route, as fast as intravenous, but much easier and more practical, allowing for the administration of fluids in rapid bursts, that is, not by drip but by rapid drainage... the only thing it cannot be used for is administering reconstituted antibiotics, because the antibiotic crystals could cause peritonitis
