Major Roman Zhuchok, call sign "Cowboy," deputy commander of the self-propelled artillery battalion of the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade, stated this on Army TV. According to him, the overall situation in the area remains relatively stable, although seasonal changes have affected the nature of the fighting. "The situation is essentially unchanged. The enemy continues to advance. The weather conditions have changed, and the greenery has grown. This means it's becoming increasingly easier for them to advance through the plantings," the officer noted. At the same time, the appearance of dense vegetation has complicated the work of Ukrainian intelligence, requiring more precise planning for detecting and engaging the enemy. The military officer also noted the impact of weather conditions on drone performance. He noted that warm weather alters battery performance, which affects the drones' operating life. "Weather conditions have contributed to the increased range. Batteries on both our and the enemy's drones drain more slowly, and this contributes to the increased range," he explained. Despite this, the growth of vegetation also has a positive effect on Ukrainian units, particularly in matters of logistics and rotations. "This is also a plus for us. It makes it easier for us to organize logistics and conduct rotations," Zhuchok added. The main change in this area concerns Russian artillery. According to the officer, enemy artillery activity is currently minimal, while mortars are being used more frequently. "This applies specifically to barrel artillery. Mortars are used more frequently," he noted. Most often, the occupiers use long-range artillery, in particular the Giatsint type cannons, and also periodically use multiple launch rocket systems. The military associates the decrease in heavy artillery activity with the expansion of drone strike zones, which complicates its effective use. "Due to the fact that the affected areas are expanding, the enemy's artillery is operating at a minimum," he concluded.
