CrossFit im Rollstuhl: Wenn starker Wille Berge versetzt

The life story of Nawid Reinermann from Hanover is almost like something out of a movie. Regular drug use, relapses, devastating blows like the death of his girlfriend, depression – the 42-year-old has already experienced it all. In addition, he is paraplegic after a serious accident and uses a wheelchair. But giving up is out of the question for him. One day, he stumbles across "CrossFit" online, one of the toughest fitness training programs around. A combination of weightlifting, bodyweight exercises, and gymnastics. This demanding sport has changed his life. Several times a week, the 42-year-old puts himself through the hour-long workouts at a CrossFit studio in Hanover-Wülfel. All his fellow athletes perform the exercises on two healthy legs, but there are no special treatment for Nawid Reinermann. He doesn't want pity; the exercises are adapted to his abilities. His motto: "Nothing is impossible." The man demonstrates so much motivation, willpower, and discipline, and receives positive feedback from all over the world.
