Venezia 2026: Come Vedere Tutto Spendendo il Meno Possibile | Musei, Biglietti e Consigli Pratici
Venice is the most visited city in Italy, and also the one where it's easiest to waste time and money if you don't plan ahead. The museum system is divided into two separate worlds that don't communicate with each other. St. Mark's Basilica has a completely changed access system in 2025. If you arrive on the same day during certain periods, you must pay a fee to enter the city. And there are third-party sites everywhere that sell tickets with commissions on what you can buy for free on official channels. In this video, we explain everything in order, starting with the things you need to know before you even arrive. The first point concerns the entrance fee: in 2026, it is required for 60 days between April 3rd and July 26th. It costs €5 if paid at least four days in advance on cda.ve.it, and €10 for the last three days. Those staying overnight don't have to worry about it—the tourist tax already covers it. Those arriving on the same day during those days and unaware of this risk being held up at security. Then there's the museum system. The civic museums—Palazzo Ducale, Ca' Rezzonico, Ca' Pesaro, Museo Fortuny, Murano Glass Museum, and Burano Lace Museum, among others—are managed by the MUVE Foundation and can be purchased at muve.vivaticket.it. The Museum Pass costs €50 and is valid for six months at all museums in the network. Those who want to focus on St. Mark's Square can choose the dedicated ticket for €35—or €30 if purchased online 30 days in advance—which includes the Doge's Palace, Correr Museum, Archaeological Museum, and the Marciana Library. The Gallerie dell'Accademia—Giorgione, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, Bellini, seven hundred years of Venetian painting—are a separate system with their own ticket available at gallerieaccademia.it. In 2026, the full ticket price will increase from €15 to €20: it's best to check the updated price before traveling. St. Mark's Basilica has an independent system managed by the Procuratoria. Access options change over time: always check basilicasanmarco.it before you go. The San Marco Museum, the Treasury, the Pala d'Oro, and the Campanile remain paid admission. We also explain gondolas and water taxis—with official fares and tips to avoid surprises—and everything you can do for almost nothing: the Grand Canal on vaporetto line 1, the parada ferries that cross the Grand Canal for €2 per person, St. Mark's Square at dawn, the Rialto market from Tuesday to Saturday, and the islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello. All information is current as of May 2026. If anything changes in the meantime, you'll find updates here in the description. Always check the official websites before you leave. 🔗 Museum Pass and MUVE civic museums: muve.vivaticket.it 🔗 Accademia Galleries: gallerieaccademia.it 🔗 St. Mark's Basilica: basilicasanmarco.it 🔗 Admission fee: cda.ve.it 🔗 Museums in Celebration — free days: visitmuve.it 📌 See also: Weekend in Venice — How to Experience It at Its Best 📌 See also: Venice and Padua — Two Cities, One Choice, One Journey 🔔 Subscribe to never miss the next episodes of Progetto Viaggio. #Venice #VeneziaMusei #Palazzo Ducale #GallerieAccademia #BasilicaSanMarco #ProgettoViaggio #ItaliaInViaggio #VeneziaGuida #MuseiVenezia #VeneziaConsigli #TravelItaly2026 #VenetoTurismo #HistoricalItaly #BellezzeItaliane #GuidaPratica2026
