We start with cultivating real mold – Dominik demonstrates how technicians took a sample from a client's wall and then inoculated drywall under controlled conditions. After two months in a closed drywall container, the drywall biodegraded – the perfect material for a reliable test. Nine drywall samples land on the table: three for vinegar (the cheapest, the most expensive, and the "German" brand), three for chlorine-based products (including two priced around 15 PLN and one more expensive), and three for ammonia-based products (similar pricing). We also compare two professional products: a milder (odorless) one and a stronger, chlorine-based one, which we use on our projects. After application, we air out the studio and wait 15–30 minutes. Conclusion? There's no magic. You won't see spectacular results with the naked eye after half an hour. On porous and damaged plasterboard, the differences are cosmetic, and the boards are ready to be thrown away. To permanently eliminate the problem, chemicals are just the beginning: mechanical removal of the affected layers, thorough drying, and often ozonation, which we perform as standard after spraying, are necessary. Otherwise, the musty smell and spores will quickly return. Dominik honestly demonstrates that a single spray isn't enough – mold removal can be tedious: scraping, repeated applications, moisture control, and only then finishing. If mold appeared after a flood, simply spraying won't solve the cause. In such cases, professional drying and mold remediation are necessary, and – if the material is damaged – replacing the plasterboard elements.
