Moonlander Split Keyboard - First Impressions + Comparisons with Planck EZ

Here are my first thoughts on the new Moonlander split keyboard from ZSA. This is a very interesting keyboard as it takes the idea of the split ergonomic keyboard and makes it super-appealing with the new design style seen with the ZSA Planck EZ. i.e the flat base with no recess for the switches, full RGB backlighting, compact form factor etc. And of course the amazing customisation software. In this video I look at how the ergonomics of the keyboard seems to affect my posture and draw some comparisons and thoughts about how this keyboard can fit in with the Planck EZ. The Moonlander has a columnar key layout which takes the logical advantage of ortholinear and tweaks it to be even more ergonomic. The keyboard offers some interesting ergonomic advantages over normal keyboards in that it allows your shoulders to be 'open' due to the split itself. But in addition to that the tilt/tent of the keyboard allows your wrists to be rotated at a more natural angle. Then there is the adjustable thumb cluster which allows for adjustment of the distance between the thumb keys and the lower row but also offers the potential for a more comfortable hand position. ———————————— Ethics: I bought the Planck EZ myself.
