The questions on screen are from the private whatsapp group I created for our students and members of my youtube channel. Some of the questions asked are listed below I heard that having an auto hold on would make turnabout and reverse around the corner harder. Do you agree? Is it better to turn it off for the two maneuvers? Yesterday when I was out practicing I saw a pedestrian step out without looking in a small junction with traffic light and it was terrifying!! If we are approaching a small junction on a green light and see pedestrians lingering & look a bit unpredictable, is it better to slow down just in case? Would the tester mark me because I hesitated while approaching a green light? When there are parked cars on my side but the road is still wide enough for two cars to pass, should I continue or should I wait because the oncoming car technically has right of way? I find it difficult to judge what counts as a gap that’s too small versus a gap that’s acceptable, and I’m worried about hindering the oncoming car and getting marked for it. I got a Grade 3 on a mock test for misjudging this, so I’m a bit self‑conscious about it. The specific road I’m thinking of is the one leading to the main road by Kilbogget Park and Tesco Ballybrack, which I know is part of a potential DĆŗn Laoghaire test route. Have you taught learners who had driving anxiety? If so, what advice did you give them? I’ve been driving on and off for over a year, so I’m not brand new, but I’ve had to react to drivers who ignore the Rules of the Road, and the unpredictability still makes me anxious every time I drive. I often wonder whether I should have foreseen certain incidents sooner. I’m not sure what level of confidence or anticipation I’m supposed to have to feel genuinely ready for the test.
