The all-wheel drive Torsus Praetorian CCTV bus. This unique vehicle, built on a MAN 4x4 chassis with an original composite body, was developed in collaboration with the Ukrainian company Pulsar Expo and is manufactured at a Slovak plant. Torsus Praetorian buses have already been shown at several Ukrainian exhibitions – in both ambulance and passenger versions, but this is the first time it has been shown in a CCTV version. This bus is ideal for border guards and law enforcement agencies. Its strong point is its excellent off-road capability. Ground clearance is 389 mm. The maximum climb angle is 33 degrees, the roll angle is 28 degrees, and the fording depth is 900 mm. The 13.5-ton bus is equipped with a 6.9-liter MAN turbodiesel engine producing 290 hp. The transmission is a 12-speed, semi-automatic MAN Tip-Matic. The Torsus Praetorian CCTV can be additionally equipped with thermal imaging cameras, drones, radios, satellite dishes, and jammers. In addition to the work area for CCTV operators, the cabin also features a rest area. It features four armchairs, a fold-down bunk, a microwave, and an electric kettle. The State Border Service of Ukraine recently purchased nine mobile thermal imaging systems based on the Torsus Praetorian 4x4 for the Lviv, Mostyskyi, and Lutsk border detachments – three systems each.
