Exploring the Deserted Lakeside Mall of Sterling Heights, Michigan
The Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights, Michigan opened in 1976 with the standard anchor stores of the era - Sears, JC Penney, Hudson's, and Crowley's. Several years later, the addition of Lord & Taylor brought the total store count to around 180. However, the mall has since declined, and only about 50 stores remain today. Lakeside Mall is scheduled to close permanently on July 1, 2024 to make way for redevelopment. #deadmalls #lakesidemall
