June 14, 2026_Daedeok Church Sunday Service Text: Acts 11:1-18 Message: Turning Point (6) Overcome the Barrier of Preconceptions Sermon: Pastor Hong Seong-geon [Acts 11:1-18] 1 When the apostles and brothers in Judea heard that even the Gentiles had received the word of God, 2 When Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcisions accused him, 3 saying, “You went into the house of the uncircumcised and ate with them.” 4 Peter explained this to them in turn, 5 saying, “While I was praying in the city of Joppa, I had a vision in a trance: a large sheet-like vessel was lowered from heaven, tied at four corners, and hung down before me. 6 When I looked at it, I saw four-legged creatures on the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and flying things in the air. 7 Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Peter, rise and eat.’ 8 I said, ‘Lord, I cannot. I will never let anything unclean or impure enter my mouth.’” "I have never entered," he said. 9 Then a second voice from heaven came to me, saying, "Do not call unclean what God has made clean." 10 After this had happened three times, everything was caught up again into heaven. 11 Just then three men stood before the house where I was staying; they were the ones sent to me from Caesarea. 12 The Holy Spirit commanded me, "Go with him without doubting." So these six brothers went with me and entered the man's house. 13 He said to us, "I saw an angel standing in my house saying, 'Send someone to Joppa and invite Simon, who is called Peter,' 14 "He will speak to you words by which you and your whole household will be saved." 15 As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came upon them, just as He had done to us at the beginning. 16 I remembered the words of the Lord: 'John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' 17 Therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; who am I to hinder God?" 18 They said this When they heard this, they remained silent and glorified God, saying, "Then God has granted even the Gentiles repentance leading to life." ㆍ If the video and audio are out of sync, please press the "F5" key to refresh.
