This model is based on the GMW-B5000, a full-metal model that inherits the genes of the original G-SHOCK DW-5000C, and is designed with a "multi-finished black" theme. The bezel and band feature extensive honing, while the sides feature a hairline finish. The band's bevels, screws, and buttons are given a mirror finish, and then the entire watch is given a black IP treatment, creating a design that allows you to enjoy the black texture created by the different finishes. Furthermore, the top of the bezel has been re-polished, and the black IP has been removed with a hairline finish to expose the underlying stainless steel. To harmonize with the color of the stainless steel on the top of the bezel, the black IP is one shade lighter than the GMW-B5000GD-1JF.
