WHEN THE MIND IS AT PEACE, EVERYTHING WILL BE GOOD | VENERABLE Thích Trí Quảng Venerable Thích Trí Quảng, whose lay name was Ngô Văn Giáo, was born on January 15, 1940, in Phú Mỹ Hương commune, Củ Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City. At the age of 10, Venerable Thích Trí Quảng began his monastic life. In 1960, he received the Bhikkhu ordination and was carefully guided and taught. Later, as an adult, he studied at Rissho University (Tokyo, Japan). Upon returning to Vietnam, Venerable Thích Trí Quảng graduated with a Doctorate in Buddhist Studies, recognized by Venerable Thích Trí Đức – Abbot of Huê Nghiêm Monastery in Thủ Đức district, Ho Chi Minh City, belonging to the 41st generation of the Lâm Tế Gia Phổ lineage. Besides, Venerable Thich Tri Quang was also guided by many other high-ranking monks, such as Venerable Thich Thien Hoa, Venerable Thich Thien Hoa, Venerable Thich Tri Hoc, Venerable Thich Thien Hao, etc. Venerable Thich Tri Quang is one of the high-ranking monks who made significant contributions to Vietnamese Buddhism.
