We bring you the current and detailed road conditions along this route and showcase the immense scale of transformation that is happening, with this mountainous section of NH44 being transformed into a all weather 4 lane highway. The route cuts through the mighty Pir Panjal range and zips through several tunnels , viaducts , bridges and flyovers . Once completed, this will be one marvellous engineering feat across harsh terrain. The 9.2 Km long Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee (formerly Chenani-Nashri Tunnel) & the 8.4 km Banihal Qazigund Road tunnel or Navyug tunnel are the two longest tunnels in this route! NE5 or the Delhi Amritsar Katra Expressway at the Katra end is also seeing rapid progress. The Jaw dropping beauty of the this route , specially the Kashmir Valley is truly mesmerizing!
