Guid Nychburris 1993

Dumfries Guid Nychburris Festival 1993 featuring The Installation, Kirking of the Cornet, Crowning of The Queen of the South and Bonny Baby show. Lots of familiar local faces in the crowds, see if you can spot someone you know! I was chosen to sing "The Queen of the South" at the coronation, accompanied by Dumfries Town Band. It was a huge honour and a day I remember fondly. I can hardly believe it was almost 30 years ago! How time flies (and fashions change!) I hope you'll enjoy this lovely piece of local footage.
