Album: Dandelion, France 1979 (private pressing of only 300 copies) Το 1976, ο Jean Christophe Graf και ο Serge Cuenot (μελλοντικό μέλος του γαλλικού progressive rock συγκροτήματος Ange) σχημάτισαν το συγκρότημα Ode. Αυτό το συγκρότημα διαλύθηκε μετά από δύο συναυλίες και ο Graf σχημάτισε τους Dandelion το 1979, στη γαλλική πόλη Belfort. Αποτελούνταν από τους Jean Christophe Graf (κιθάρες, μπάσο και φωνή), Thierry Weibel (τύμπανα και κρουστά) και Olivier Richardot (πλήκτρα). Το πρώτο άλμπουμ τους κυκλοφόρησε ως ιδιωτική έκδοση (private pressing) μόνο 300 αντιτύπων από το Le Kiosque D'Orphée το 1979 και πουλήθηκε τοπικά, μόνο στις συναυλίες τους. Ηχογραφήθηκε στο Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο του Giromagny σε πέντε ημέρες (26/08/79 - 01/09/79) με μόλις δύο μπομπινόφωνα και πενιχρό προϋπολογισμό. Το άλμπουμ τραγουδήθηκε όλο στα αγγλικά εκτός από το κομμάτι "La Farfalla" που τραγουδήθηκε στα ιταλικά από τη Sophie Pfister. Το εξώφυλλο του άλμπουμ είναι δημιουργημένο από την αδερφή της Sophie, Anne. Ο ερασιτεχνικός και απόλυτα σπιτικός ήχος του, δίνει στο άλμπουμ μια πολύ ιδιαίτερη ατμόσφαιρα. Μέχρι τη δεκαετία του 1980, οι Dandelion αποφάσισαν να ανανεώσουν το μουσικό τους στυλ και άρχισαν να παίζουν μουσική new wave, εντελώς διαφορετική από το στυλ του πρώτου τους άλμπουμ.
