Just finishing a 16 stop tour in Canada, Celtic Thunder is about to embark on a 44 stop tour in the US, with a brand new show "Mythology" which tells the history of the Celtic People, their legends, culture and stories. Mythology recounts the heritage of modern-day Celts and the influences from their Celtic past which make them who they are today. This Celtic heritage is aptly explained in the first line of the opening number "Voices" which was written for Mythology by Musical Director David Munro and songwriter Brendan Graham - "Voices call from the old days, Voices tell from the past, Ancient laws and ancient old ways to recast." Mythology is by far Celtic Thunder's most impressive production to date. All six Celtic Thunder principals, Ryan, George, Keith, Colm, Emmet and Neil feature prominently in Mythology, performing haunting solo numbers such as "Carrickfergus", "The Isle of Inisfree", "Scarlet Ribbons", "Katie", "Carolina Rua" and "Now We Free" and rousing ensembles "The Boys are Back in Town", "The Star of the County Down" and "The Rocky Road to Dublin". There are also great original tracks written especially for Mythology, such as "Voices" and "Hunter's Moon". The finale of Mythology is a powerful and stunning anthem "My Land"by award winning songwriter Brendan Graham, who also wrote the international hit "You Raise Me Up". The set, lighting, images. music and performances in Mythology make this a show not to be missed! If you have not booked your ticket yet http://www.celticthunder.ie/tour there is still excellent seating still available in many venues across the US, and you can find a Celtic Thunder Show near you with Sound Check Parties http://www.celticthunder.ie/soundchec... still available in many areas. Celtic Thunder Mythology - 'Seven Drunken Nights' As I came home on Monday night as drunk as drunk could be I saw a horse outside the door where my old horse should be So I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me Who owns that horse outside the door where my old horse should be? Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool, still you can not see That's a lovely sow that me mother sent to me Well, many is a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more But a sow with a saddle on sure I never seen before Now as I came home on Tuesday night as drunk as drunk could be I saw a coat behind the door where my old coat should be So I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me Who owns that coat behind the door where my old coat should be Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool, still you can not see That's a lovely blanket that me mother sent to me Well, many is a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more But buttons in a blanket sure I never seen before And as I went home on Wednesday night as drunk as drunk could be I saw a pipe up on the chair where my old pipe should be Well, I called the wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me Who owns that pipe up on the chair where my old pipe should be Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool, still you can not see That's a lovely tin whistle that me mother sent to me Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more But tobacco in a tin whistle sure I never seen before And as I went home on Thursday night as drunk as drunk could be I saw two boots beneath the bed where my two boots should be Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me Who owns those boots beneath the bed where my old boots should be Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool, still you can not see They're two lovely Geranium pots me mother sent to me Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more But laces in Geranium pots I never seen before And as I went home on Friday night as drunk as drunk could be I saw a head upon the bed where my old head should be Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me Who owns that head upon the bed where my old head should be Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool, Still you can not see That's a baby boy that my mother send to me Hey, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more But a baby boy with wiskers on ive never seen before
