〇陸上自衛隊 明野駐屯地 / JGSDF Camp Akeno ・JGSDF KHI OH-1 Observation and Reconnaissance Helicopter 　陸上自衛隊 川崎 OH1 観測 / 偵察 ヘリコプター ＊The aircraft employs a hingeless rotor hub to improve handling responsiveness. 　The development team was awarded the Howard Hughes Award by AHS International (American Helicopter Society) in 1998. ＊Fenestron's patent has expired, so it is being used in this aircraft. ＊TS1 Turboshaft engine : Manufactured by MHI ＊My personal opinion. 　This aircraft was expensive, so it wasn't adopted in large numbers. It was considered to have excellent maneuverability and attitude control thanks to its innovative technology. Later, engine improvements were made. 　In addition, the data link system was updated, establishing a solid technological foundation, but it's unclear whether this modification was actually implemented on this aircraft. 　Considering technological continuity and acquisition feasibility, a UH-1 size transport helicopter was planned based on this aircraft. This was the reverse of the AH-1 development from the UH-1. A reconnaissance combat version was also planned, but a corruption scandal surfaced, and the plan was abandoned.
