You Have Been LIED To About India...
In this video we're sharing our incredible experience living 3 months in India. We start out in Kochi where we stayed for 1 month before heading to the city of Bangalore to celebrate the Holi festival. While in Kochi, we explored the area and adjusted to the new way of life. We tried new foods, met amazing people including a lovely local family that showed us around and invited us into their home. The kids got to play together and create lasting memories. We took a couple of day trips to Alleppey and Munnar to experience living on a houseboat for 3 days and tour a tea plantation and see how tea is processed in a factory. We then explored the city of Bangalore which was quite a different place than Kochi. We visited places like the Bangalore Palace which is a magnificent landmark. It showcases exquisite wood carvings, Gothic windows, and sprawling gardens, offering visitors a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the erstwhile Maharajas of Mysore. Although I wasn't allowed to film, it was a very interesting place to visit. We also stayed the night in India's first underground resort and went on safari! Before leaving Bangalore, we participated in a local celebration of the Holi Festival. This was some of the most fun we've had in all of our travels. During Holi, people gather to smear each other with brightly colored powders and water, dance to traditional music, and indulge in festive treats. It's a time of merriment and camaraderie, breaking barriers of caste and social status. We then flew to Goa where we spent a week in North Goa and visited a snow park as well as shopped at a local market. We visited the beaches and walked around the shops, but it was quite touristy. We found ourselves in South Goa for the following month where we really settled down and found a routine. We were within minutes of walking to the beach and made it a (nearly) daily ritual to visit the beach for an hour or so. We also rented a scooter to drive around and all 4 crammed on to explore the surrounding areas. It was one of my favorite places we've lived so far and a great change of pace for awhile. After soaking up the sun for a month we made our way to Mumbai for the final week where we would fly out for our next destination. We took some time to wind down our time in India, but took a day to explore some historic landmarks such as the Gateway of India, Taj Mahal Palace and the CST railway station.
