Olufunmilayo Oludare (Olu) – Occupational therapy apprentice

Olufunmilayo Oludare is an occupational therapy apprentice formerly the lead AHP support worker for a Trust. In this conversation, Olu talks passionately about living and working in a way that's true to her values and how her experiences within the occupational therapy support workforce have enabled her to do this. Olu also reflects on leadership, professional identity, networking, supervision and the power and importance of inclusive language in creating a sense of belonging. This is one of a series of vodcasts which really focus on hearing and sharing the career narratives of our diverse workforce and highlight a whole range of possibilities in occupational therapy. It forms part of RCOT and Health Education England (HEE) collaboration to create an Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Workforce Reform to shape the future of the AHP personnel. The learning and insight will be for all four nations.
