Aircraft Ferry Adventure: First Ever Trip to ALASKA (Part 1)

I was in the fledgling stages of becoming a ferry pilot when I got a call from new aircraft owner asking if I could take a PA-12 from Kansas to Alaska. Of course I couldn't say no! The key was that he never asked specifically if I had flown to Alaska before, so perhaps I left out that detail at the time, but I certainly wasn't going to let the fact that I had never done it stop me from trying. I did lots of research ahead of time and thankfully I had adequate time to prepare. I'm also very thankful I live in a time where information is abundantly available for research ahead of time and there are lots of other extremely useful resources out there to help the flight along the way.
