August 10th,2020 Cedar Rapids IA Derecho

For those of you who would like to experience first hand what this derecho was like during the morning of August 10th, 2020 at 11am, I will be taking you through what we actually went through. The sounds of trees and such hitting roofs and windows, trees being snapped in half as if they were small dead dry twigs and being ripped like weeds out of a garden are all we heard that morning along with metal crunching, glass breaking and so much more. This is the first hand look at 140 mile an hour wind derecho did to Cedar Rapids. You will see the power of the derecho first hand followed by the devestation that it left in it's wake. What you are about to see is real and none of the pictures are photoshopped or altered. They are the original pictures that were taken. Now it's time to witness the power behind this force of mother nature who so kindly nearly destroyed the state of Iowa and nearly wiping Cedar Rapids off the map.
