Johnny Gaudreau’s Widow Reacts To Touching Moment w/ Their Kids After Team USA’s Gold Win

Team USA made sure to include the late Johnny Gaudreau after they won Olympic gold for the first time in 46 years. On Sunday, Feb. 22, the U.S. men’s ice hockey team defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime. Following their historic victory, NHL stars Auston Matthews, Zach Werenski and Matthew Tkachuk skated around the ice with Gaudreau’s No. 13 jersey. Afterwards, as the team began posing for photos, a few players went to the stands to grab Gaudreau’s children, daughter Noa and son Johnny Jr., to include them in the pictures. As Team USA smiled alongside Gaudreau’s kids, they held up his jersey. The touching moment drew tears from the late hockey player’s widow, Meredith Gaudreau, who watched from the sidelines. Ahead of the game, she noted on social media how Feb. 22 was already a special day for their family as was Johnny Jr.’s birthday.
