Attracting and Retaining a New Generation of Regulators and Contractors Alike

During and after the COVID pandemic, many agencies had to make significant changes related to employee hiring and retention. Similarly, workforce development and certifications within the field of UST installation and service industry were updated to improve upon safety, efficiency, and to incorporate an understanding of key aspects like fire codes, leak detection, and equipment verification. In this session, one presenter provided a perspective of the regulators updating their strategies to improve employee hiring and retention, and the other described their approach to certifications of contractors.
