1968 Camaro Project: From Paint Shop to Disc Brake Conversion! (Part 1)

The '68 Camaro build is officially underway! After months at the paint shop, we finally have the car back in the garage and it's time to start the assembly. This Camaro is getting a serious drivetrain: a Small Block Chevy backed by a Turbo 400 transmission and a stout 12-bolt rear end. But before we can go fast, we have to make sure we can stop. In today’s video (Part 1), we’re tackling the first major mechanical task: ditching the old setup for a complete front disc brake conversion. We’re using a power booster kit from The Right Stuff Detailing to give this F-Body the modern stopping power it deserves. In this video, we cover: A quick walkaround of the fresh paint and our plans for the build. Unboxing the disc brake conversion kit. Removing the old components and prepping the spindles. The step-by-step installation of the new rotors, calipers, and power booster. There is a long road ahead to get this '68 back on the pavement, so make sure to follow along as we piece this monster back together!
