In 2021 the new public market in Carcar City was opened. A visit has been on my list for a while so I ventured out on a Sunday morning taking a Ceres bus from Cebu City. The market itself is very modern with individual stallholders having metal roller shutters to secure their produce at closing time. One of the main attractions are the Lechon stalls, always busy on a weekend and of course one can't refuse to partake in the delicacy whilst there ! Within the covered market there are the usual goods and items you will find in any Filipino market. Outside there are vendors also selling their produce under tarps. I couldn't possibly come away from Carcar without a purchase of their famous Chicharon - certainly the best ive tasted as it is always fresh, right from the source. #carcarcity #cebu #philippinemarkets
