Woodturning a Mushroom Box

In this woodturning tutorial, I show you how I turn a mushroom box on a wood lathe. I show how I use a double-sided tape holding method on a waste block to turn the bottom of the lid. Then turn, shape, and drill the stem of the mushroom or body of the box. The lid is turned by using the tenon on the body of the box as a jam chuck. I finish everything with a walnut oil finish that I make myself because I like the way oil brings out the dark color of the walnut lid. Geiserwoodturner is for entertainment purposes only.
