Removing A Bad Lithium Cell from Battery Pack, Smart Fortwo

Can we remove one bad cell out of a lithium battery pack? This is the third video about a lithium battery pack from a Smart Fortwo EV car. The pack was in rough shape when I got it with some cells fully depleted. After doing some charging and discharging cycles I have found a few bad cells that I think should be removed. I don't know how easily this will come apart, but I'm finding out on camera. It turns out the pack is coming apart without too much difficulty. The most nerve-racking part is using an angle grinder to cut the bus bars. Now I'm left thinking about how to fill in the gap left over from removing the cell. I'm wearing some new line-man gloves.
