But how do attackers access these supposedly isolated and monitored networks? The answer is often prosaic: often, the weakest link isn't a sophisticated industrial firewall, but a maintenance engineer enjoying a coffee at a nearby café. During this presentation, we'll abandon the traditional lecture format in favor of a gripping technical thriller. We'll recreate the anatomy of a multi-stage attack live, demonstrating how an innocent free Wi-Fi outage can lead to an infrastructure disaster. During Session: We'll take a look behind the scenes of the latest incidents (based on real-world examples), breaking down sabotage tactics used against renewable energy sources. I'll conduct a live attack (Live Demo) using Close Access radio vectors. You'll see the terrifying ease with which critical engineering credentials can be intercepted just a few hundred meters from the protected facility. You'll see the physical effects of a cyberattack. On stage, I'll launch a specially designed OT environment simulator. I won't reveal what exactly we'll do with it now... but prepare yourself for the digital payload of the malicious Wiper to leave your computer screen and drastically manifest its presence in the real world.
