This is a true sound system blueprint: a unique piece, a one-off recording, a burning unreleased text that Kabaka Pyramid never recorded before and never recorded again. In 2014, Kabaka Pyramid came to France for one of his first European tours, travelling the roads with Irie Ites Sound. This exclusive dubplate was born from that connection. Knowing Kabaka’s deep love for the Channel One sound and the Roots Radics, Jericho selected the “Oh Jah Can’t You See” riddim — and Kabaka immediately stepped into the vocal booth to deliver a memorable one-shot performance. The “Oh Jah Can’t You See” riddim is linked to Barrington Levy’s Channel One sessions recorded in 1982 with the legendary Roots Radics, later released through the Time Capsule project by RAS Records in 1996. This foundation riddim carries the deep roots, heavy bassline and timeless Jamaican sound that inspired generations of reggae artists and sound system selectors. Today, 12 years later, Irie Ites opens the vault and shares this rare moment with the worldwide reggae massive.
